This DIY dusting spray costs pennies to make, is non-toxic and will make you WANT to clean!
Ok, that last part is probably stretching the truth a bit. Nobody WANTS to clean, right? Do you know what cleaning task I hate? The correct answer would be all of them but I just HATE to dust. Dust gets absolutely everywhere and it is a tedious task to get rid of it all. Which probably why I don’t dust as often as I should.
I’m determined to be better at cleaning my house which is why I’m on a mission to make all my cleaning products. No more excuses about running out since I have everything on hand at home to make them. I made some DIY dusting spray the other day and it motivated me to dust. And if something can actually motivate me to clean, you KNOW it’s good.
DIY DUSTING SPRAY RECIPE
First, you’re going to need a spray bottle. I would recommend glass spray bottles if you will be using essential oils. If you are not using essential oils in the recipe, you can use a plastic spray bottle.
I recommend using essential oils in this recipe because the vinegar is a very strong and unpleasant scent. Lemon, orange and lavender are the scents that would probably smell best. My first choice was lemon but I realized that I was OUT OF LEMON! AACCKK! I probably used all of it in the last batch of my kitchen cleaner. So I substituted lavender. You can learn more about essential oils and purchase them here.
I doubled this recipe so I have plenty on hand for months of cleaning. MONTHS of cleaning. Can someone just come to my house and clean for me?
And what good is a bottle of cleaner if you can’t tell what it is in the mess of all the other bottles in the cabinet? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered with a printable label. I’ve also created another label with the recipe on it so when you run out of dusting spray, the recipe is right there on the bottle.
