For those of you who read this blog regularly, you know that I love to throw parties. I like to come up with themes that can’t be found at the big party stores. Lately, I’ve been thinking about throwing a Sunshine Party this summer and decided to make some fun Sunshine Party decorations to go with my theme.

Here are the supplies you will need for this craft:

FloraCraft Make It: Fun®  Foam Balls (two 4″ balls and one 6″ ball)

Yellow streamers (1 roll)

Glue Gun

Bakers Twine

Eye hooks

And here is how to make your Sunshine Party decorations

First, block off about an hour to do this project. Put your favorite show on Netflix and you’ll be done in no time.

Once you are settled in front of the tv,  tear the streamers into strips approximately 6 -12 inches long and crumple each strip up into a ball

Ignore the thumbtack in the picture above. That was what I was originally going to hang it with. But I found something better… an eyehook. You may want to place a dot of hot glue on the end of the eye hook before you insert it into the ball just to make sure that it stays put.

Thread some bakers twine through your sunshine decorations to hang. Or if you don’t want the string to be seen, you can hang them with fishing line.

I love how bright and cheerful these decorations are. They can be used for all different types of celebrations… not just a Sunshine Party. You can use them as topiaries or how about as the tops of ice cream cones! The possibilities are really quite endless. I don’t know what it is about parties but I love to throw them! I love any excuse to celebrate even the littlest of things. We have little celebrations all year long in our house and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

  1. These are fun! If you added some white, they would look like popcorn balls — perfect for Christmas tree ornaments. Thank you, Kelly.
