I love making homemade ornaments. I have been kind of slack this year but finally decided to make some for teachers’ gifts. I really like the clear light bulb ornaments so I picked up some of those and after lots of debating, I decided to make a Monogram Glitter Bulb Ornament.

You will need:
Plastic light bulb ornament
Spray adhesive
Glitter
Paper
Vinyl

First, take off the top of the ornament and spray the inside of the ornament with the spray adhesive. I used Elmer’s brand. Get a good amount in there and swirl it around to cover the entire inside.

Next, using a paper funnel, pour the glitter into the ornament and swirl/shake to cover the entire inside. You’ll want to use a good amount of glitter to cover it all.

I used my Silhouette machine to cut out a vinyl monogram for each ornament. I also cut out the date and adhered that to the back of each ornament.

A perfect personalized gift for wonderful teachers (and I also made one for our tree too)!

    1. Hi Carolyn. You can find these type of ornaments at any craft store like Michaels, A.C. Moore, possibly Hobby Lobby.
