I have an easy holiday recipe for you today that goes way back to when I was growing up. My mom would make this every Thanksgiving and Christmas… Brown Sugar Acorn Squash. You’re going to want to add this to your Christmas Menu Planner for sure.
Easy Brown Sugar Acorn Squash Recipe
This recipe is so easy you don’t even need the stove or oven. Yes folks… Today we are going to cook a tasty dish in the…wait for it…microwave. Now some may argue that microwaving does not equal cooking and I have to agree. But I need to make an exception for this dish. Ready to see how easy this is?
Ingredients:
Acorn squash
Brown Sugar
Butter
Place the squash in the microwave for a minute or two to soften it. Cut the top off the acorn squash and scoop out the seeds. Put a tablespoon each of brown sugar and butter in the center, cover with plastic wrap and microwave. Two squashes: 5-7 minutes.  Four squashes:  10-12 minutes. Done! I told you it was easy.
The brown sugar is so tasty with the squash. It adds just the right amount of flavor. You can whip this recipe up in no time and your guests will never guess that it came out of the microwave. Shhh. I won’t tell if you won’t!
