10 Hand Lettered Valentines your Kids Will Love to Give

Valentine’s Day is coming up and things can get a little stressful if you are a parent. Things can get stressful even if you’re NOT a parent, right? When I was a kid, Valentine’s Day was the absolute BEST. It may have even been better than Halloween. Because on Halloween, you had to actually exert energy going house to house in order to get the candy. On Valentine’s Day, all you needed was a doily decorated box and the candy would come to YOU. One by one, the sugar encrusted Valentines (I’m looking at you stale conversation hearts) would be dropped into the box which would become an excellent place to stash other things once the candy was gone. It’s really a kid’s dream come true.
These days though, the boxes are getting WAY more creative (read: complicated) and you wonder how many hours the parents spend making the boxes? There are robot boxes, unicorn boxes, Pokemon boxes. That last one is courtesy of my son who requested a Charmander box a few years ago! I let his dad do that one. I mean, whatever happened to a regular old shoebox covered in red construction paper?
