Easy Homemade Salsa Recipe
It’s Cinco de Mayo! Who is throwing a party today? Hold on to your sombreros people because I’ve got a delicious and easy Homemade Salsa Recipe that you can whip up in time for tonight’s festivities (or for any day).
Here is what you will need for this delicious goodness.
1 big can whole peeled tomatoes
1 can Rotel (either original or mild)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 an onion, diced.
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 cup fresh cilantro
Place everything into a food processor and pulse a few times until you get the consistency that you want. Look at all those glorious colors!
I like mine a little chunky but some may prefer it a bit smoother. I’ve found that people are very particular about their salsa. That’s the beauty of the food processor…you can make it as smooth or as chunky as you want.
I could eat this plain for a meal. My husband and I may or may not have thrown down the entire bowl the other night. It’s THAT good. I don’t think I’ll ever buy canned salsa again.
