Do you need more kitchen storage? I think everyone does, right? My utensils were previously stored in a pitcher on my counter so in order to get them off the counter, I created this stylish DIY Pegboard Kitchen Organizer.

The process is pretty straightforward so I only have pictures of the final product but I’m pretty sure you can handle it.

Purchase a sheet of pegboard at your local home improvement store. You can either get them to cut it to size there or you can cut it at home. I brought it home and cut it to about 2’x3′.

After you cut it, paint it any color you want. I chose a turquoise blue for a pop of color in my kitchen.

To hang it, I placed one small nail at the top and then secured the corners with 3M picture hanging strips. The picture hanging strips provide just the right amount of space that you need between the wall and the pegboard for your hooks to hang. You can probably get away without the nail. I’m sure it would hang with just the 3M strips. I just used the nail for a little bit extrta stability.

Add some pegboard hooks and hang your utensils.  Now your utensils are off the counter/out if the drawer and displayed in a stylish way. It’s like art for your kitchen.

The entire project is very affordable. The piece of pegboard was around 6 dollars and I have enough left over to do another project. The paint was a sample jar for about 2 dollars. We already had the pegboard hooks and 3M strips so that was free. This is such an easy project. I wish I would have done it sooner.
