3 Ingredient Lemon Sugar Scrub
Winter and my skin don’t mix. Winter dries up my skin and spits it out into a big scaly mess. And the big scaly mess usually pops up at the worst times. Like the first beach trip of the year. I’ve got an easy fix, my friends, that the beauty industry doesn’t want you to know. Two words… SUGAR SCRUBS. Yes, the beauty industry sells these scrubs BUT what they don’t want you to know is that you can make them for so much cheaper than you can buy them. Let’s start with one of my favorite recipes.. lemon sugar scrub.

WHY do you need this sugar scrub? Because sugar scrubs are magical. They are like the glitter and unicorns of the beauty world. Seriously. They will turn your rough skin soft and silky smooth in no time flat. And I don’t know how I have lived without them. A good friend once convinced me to buy a super expensive version of this from a popular beauty brand. I love my friend and all but 30 bucks is just too expensive for me. But I spent it anyway because I loved how soft and silky it made my skin feel. Then I figured out how to make sugar scrubs myself. So I’m going to show you how to make this amazing lemon sugar scrub for pennies.
This recipe is the same as my other sugar scrub recipes. The only thing different is that we’re adding a different essential oil.
LEMON SUGAR SCRUB RECIPE
Ingredients
1 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup white sugar
5-10 drops lemon essential oil
Directions
Mix coconut oil and sugar together in a mixer
Add in the lemon essential oil, mix again
Place sugar scrub in jelly jars.

This recipe will fill two 4 oz. jelly jars. I like to keep my sugar scrubs in small containers because depending on where you store your scrub, it may harden a bit due to the properties of the coconut oil. Having the scrubs in small containers makes it easier to get every last bit out without having to dig your hand way down into a jar and then get it stuck. Trust me on that one.
