It’s popsicle season, my friends! What? You didn’t know that the summer season has now unofficially been changed to popsicle season? Popsicles are all the rage in our house. We buy tons from the store but the kids love my homemade popsicles the best. Apparently I make so many that when my daughter was asked in school what her parents did for jobs, she replied that I make popsicles. True story.
No summer would be complete without them and since 4th of July is right around the corner, red white and blue was the obvious choice. A little bit of black/purple got mixed in there as well because we just had to use the freshly picked blackberries that we got from the local U-pick farm.
These popsicles are super easy to make. Because if they weren’t, I wouldn’t make them. I’m all about easy. I do not have time for food that takes a gazillion hours to make and my kids don’t have the patience to wait for it.

I used molds from the Dollar Store but this is a similar mold made by Norpro.
These were such a big hit. And guess what? I let my kids have some for breakfast on day. Yes, breakfast! After all, the ingredients are fresh fruit and yogurt. How much more healthy can you get than that? I got promoted to the “super cool” mom level when I suggested popsicles for breakfast. What they DON’T know is that the pantry was bare and I didn’t have any other options. But shhhh, don’t tell.
