Paint Chip Banner Decoration

Don’t you get exhausted decorating for a holiday just to take it down again a few weeks later?  And then the next holiday comes and you do it all over again.  It’s enough to make anyone’s head spin. I’m a sucker when it comes to holiday decorations.  But do you know what I like even better? Holiday decorations that can double as year-round decorations.  Okay maybe not year round decorations but at least seasonal.  That’s why I’m so in love with my newest paint chip banner.  Use it for St. Patrick’s Day and then leave it up all Spring.

The paint chip banner may be the ultimate “almost free” craft.  I just can’t get over that you walk into a home improvement store and can just take the paint chips.  They give them to you. For free.  Still blows my mind.  I’m sure that the employees probably think I’m insane taking every hue of green imaginable. I know that they are thinking “what in the world kind of room is she painting?”

So in addition to the paint chips, here’s what you’ll need:

PAINT CHIP BANNER

Buttons
Bakers Twine (aff. link)
Glue Gun (aff. link)

First, fold your paint chip in half. Next, use hot glue to attach a button to the center of each paint chip

String the paint chips onto a piece of bakers twine and secure the bottom of each paint chip with a dab of hot glue.
