Hi friends!  Welcome to Day 3 of my 12 Days of Christmas Series. Today I have a beautiful Christmas craft to share with you today.

Coffee Filter Christmas Wreath

This Coffee Filter Christmas Wreath is such a beautiful decoration! So simple and elegant.

I love making wreaths. My front door always has some sort of wreath on it.  I’ve wanted to add a coffee filter wreath to my collection for some time now and I figured that white would be the perfect color for winter and Christmas. This wreath takes some time to assemble but is not complicated.

Here’s what you will need (affiliate links)

 12″ styrofoam wreath form
 Two packs of coffee filters
hot glue gun
Pen
Christmas wreath decorations

I like to use the decorations that come with the picks like these so you can easily stick them into the styrofoam.

To begin, put on your favorite tv show and settle in. The process to make the wreath is pretty repetitive so it is easy to do while you relax at night. First, wrap a coffee filter around a pen and put some hot glue on the closed end of the filter.

Press the filter onto to wreath form, hold it there for about 10 seconds and then remove the pen. The first few may flop over a bit but that’s ok. The more filters you add, the more support they will give each other.

So now you’ve got a few coffee filters on and you’ve got it well under control. Now… just keep adding those coffee filters until the entire wreath form is covered. The more the better. You want your wreath to be nice and full. I did not put coffee filters on the “back” of the wreath because I want it to lie flat when I hang it. Because of this, the wreath will look best if you hang it somewhere you can only see the front (i.e don’t hang it on a glass window or door where you will see the “unfinished” back).

After you finish gluing all the coffee filters, there might be some areas of your wreath where the filters stick out further. You can just use scissors trim these areas back.

Next, take the Christmas wreath decorations, spread the coffee filters apart a bit and stick the decorations down into the styrofoam.  Use hot glue to attach these if needed.

I love how this wreath turned out. I love how simple it is and when Christmas is done, you can remove the decorations and use it for a regular winter wreath and for other holidays.
