Hurricane Earl has just cut my wonderful, gorgeous, relaxing, end-of-summer vacation short. We high tailed it out of the Outer Banks last night. But at least I got to the spa before Earl decided to crash our party. That is the last time I will book a beach vacation during hurricane season. I'm still a bit depressed that I'm not still soaking up the sun, listening to the waves crash, building sandcastles and searching for seashells.
I needed a pick me up today. I don't know why but this
cute desktop wallpaper made me very happy. My laptop needed to be spruced up and this was just what it needed. It reminds me that fall is just around the corner; a whole new season of opportunities and experiences. The laptop was relatively minor compared to
this project that I want to attempt soon. I have always wanted a collection of family photos in eclectic frames to fill my stairway. And I have a HUGE wall on my stairway to fill. But this is not the biggest part of the project. I will also be attempting to rip out the carpet on my stairs and upstairs hallway, refinish the hardwood stairs and hall, and refinish the banister. This will go along quite well with my current project of repainting all the molding in the house. Now... to find the time.
